How the studio differs from the stage
On stage, audience and adrenaline hide small slips. In the studio you hear timing, tuning and balance without that filter. Our band recording setup fits up to 5 musicians at once, with sight lines to the control room and separate headphone mixes — yet any arrangement or tempo doubt still costs session time.
Hourly rate from €125, eight-hour day rate €890, both including 20 % VAT. A structured day often beats ad-hoc hours; arriving unprepared usually pushes you past the booked window.
Lock arrangement and setlist
Before the final rehearsal, decide which songs record on studio day — not “maybe two more”. Per song: fixed tempo (click or a clear natural reference), fixed entries, endings and transitions. Solo practice should still match the shared plan.
Send demos or live recordings via contact so we can pre-plan mic choices from 24 channels and headphone routing. Clarifying open-ended song forms on the clock burns budget.
Treat rehearsal as dress rehearsal
Run the last practice like studio day: same lineup, same instruments where possible, similar level balance. Drums on full kit or at least pads with realistic dynamics; guitars through the amp rig you will use or rent.
Note trouble spots: quiet bass parts, harsh cymbals, messy breaks. A simple log (song, bar, issue) saves debates at the desk. If vocals come later in the booth, schedule prepare your voice separately.
Click, tempo and headphone mindset
Click is optional, but a shared grid helps overdubs and later mixing. If you use one, practice entries and exits with the metronome — not only the middle of the song. Without click, agree on counts and visual cues.
Rehearse with headphones in mind: can everyone hear themselves and the rest? Stage-monitor habits often clash with studio levels. Deliberately lower volume in rehearsal to train headphone listening.

Plan the day realistically
Load-in, soundcheck, breaks and fatigue eat time. On an eight-hour day rate, six hours of focused recording is often realistic — not eight hours of non-stop takes. Schedule core passes when concentration is high; overdubs and fixes later.
If a song will not settle, pause or book another half day instead of hammering the same part for hours. We mark usable takes so you do not have to remember everything.
After tracking: next steps
We archive raw material for 12 months. Mixing needs consistent tracks — see stems for mixing. Mastering is separate with its own delivery formats (master delivery formats).
Rights on arrangements or samples are yours to clear outside the studio; demos fall under our privacy policy. Book or ask: +43 1 526 48 92 or [email protected].
